The Professional Pot Smoker (PPS) was established in 2020, during a time when medicinal cannabis was becoming more widely available throughout Australia. Our founders quickly recognised the numerous barriers preventing individuals from accessing medical cannabis, including high consultation costs, expensive medications, limited product availability, discrimination, and a general lack of education surrounding this emerging field of medicine.

Over the past few years, PPS has evolved—shifting and adapting its services to meet the changing landscape of medical cannabis accessibility. Now that many of the major barriers in Australia have been addressed—such as free consultations, more affordable medications, and a wider variety of products—PPS is expanding its focus. Our goal is to position ourselves as a key resource in the medical cannabis industry across Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada.

Our Role in Australia

Within Australia, PPS now operates as a free referral service, connecting individuals with approved doctors and clinics that we believe uphold ethical prescribing practices and meet the highest standards of patient care. Additionally, we provide educational services on medical cannabis and assist members of the community with any issues they may face in accessing treatment.

Advocacy & Industry Reform

While PPS remains a strong advocate for medical cannabis, we also recognise the need for continuous improvementwithin the industry. As part of our commitment to integrity and patient well-being, we will advocate for necessary reforms by identifying and exposing unethical or subpar industry practices. This includes concerns such as non-TGA-approved vape sales in pharmacies and other regulatory issues. Through our website, social media platforms, and community events, we aim to bring attention to these challenges and push for industry reform.
